TOKYO, April 12, 2024 – [TIER IV](https://tier4.co.jp/en/?hsLang=en), a pioneer in open-source autonomous driving (AD) technology, is excited to announce its recent loan agreement with [MUFG Bank](https://www.bk.mufg.jp/global/), one of Japan’s leading financial institutions. Under this agreement, MUFG Bank will provide a credit facility of 1 billion yen (approximately 6.6 million US dollars) to TIER IV.

 

A frontrunner in developing full-stack AD solutions, TIER IV is strategically positioned for business expansion. Leveraging this financial support as operational capital, the company aims to optimize operations effectively. This includes streamlining lead times in vehicle sales, in line with its commitment to accelerate the rollout of AD technology.
