TOKYO, May 19, 2023 – TIER IV, the leader in open-source autonomous driving (AD) technology, and Mingshang Technology, a leading Chinese service provider of intelligent driving safety system integration for commercial vehicles, signed a MoU on collaboration on Autoware* -based AD solutions for commercial vehicles. Daisuke Tanaka, COO of TIER IV, and Gordon Pan, the head of Greater China region, attended the signing ceremony.
Autoware, its development being led by TIER IV, is the world's first open-source system for autonomous driving. It has been used by more than 500 companies in more than 20 countries and regions around the world. TIER IV and Mingshang Technology agree to strengthen partnership and collaboration, through the exchange of expertise and experience, to promote, develop and optimize Autoware-based AD software and apply it to Mingshang Technology's research and development of key technologies and solutions for autonomous driving.
