Tokyo, March 14, 2025 – TIER IV, the pioneering force behind the world’s first open-source software for autonomous driving, has secured a credit facility worth US$13 million (¥2 billion) from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), one of Japan’s leading financial institutions. The funding will provide working capital to support government-led initiatives geared toward the deployment of autonomous driving services.
