Tokyo, February 17, 2026 – TIER IV, a pioneer in open-source software for autonomous driving, will showcase autonomous driving advancements at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, Asia’s largest global innovation conference, from April 27 to 29. The company will conduct a pilot test of Level 4 standard autonomous mobility services during the event, highlighting initiatives conducted in partnership with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to accelerate the deployment of autonomous vehicles, including the Tokyo Bay eSG project.
The pilot test will utilize TIER IV’s Minibus 2.0 autonomous electric vehicle, connecting three locations in the Tokyo Bay area, including the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) and a transit hub serving Tokyo Big Sight. These rides and other tests in the area will demonstrate the performance and reliability of TIER IV’s technology on public roads.
Inside the exhibition venue, TIER IV will display a vehicle equipped with its autonomous driving system*, with team members on hand to share insights on the technology and efforts to scale the system across various industries.
